Over 25 weeks you will receive practical training, classroom and online learning, and real-world clinical experience. You will be prepared to support clients with the tasks of daily living while demonstrating compassion, safety, and respect.
PSW DE (Distance Education) is also available through a flexible hybrid class delivery format, combining online learning with required in-person practical training.

Recruitment Incentive
Ontario Health offers a recruitment incentive of up to $10,000 for eligible recent PSW graduates who commit to 12 months of full-time employment with a participating long-term care or home and community care employer. The incentive is typically paid in two instalments ($5,000 after 6 months + $5,000 after 12 months). Additional incentives may be available for rural, remote, or northern positions.

Real Clinical Experience at Leading Facilities
Complete approximately 300 hours of supervised clinical placement in real long-term care, home care, and community settings across the Greater Toronto Area (including the Mississauga area). This is real work experience - many students receive job offers before their placement ends.
